Name:mindthewalls
Birthdate:Jun 4
Nickname: Pac-Man
Name: Mutou Yuugi
Gender: Male
Birthday: June 4th, 1981
Age: 17

Appearance: He's a canon MemoryArc!Yuugi, only sans a body. But he does have his deck on him... Not that it's good for much right now.

Back Story: What if there's a world where, when Yuugi started to defeat Bakura in the pharaoh's tomb, the spirit uses his control of Honda to threaten Jounouchi and Anzu by pushing them to hang over the ravine, forcing Yuugi to surrender the fight? Yuugi does, after making the deal that Bakura lets his friends out of the game at the same time. This works, and manages to give a pivotal chance in the real world for the now awake friends to intervene over the board game, as Bakura's power is turned so inward at the game at that point he doesn't react in time to keep Honda from grabbing the Puzzle - the “projector” of the Dark RPG - which interrupts the whole thing.

It works to a point, as both spirits return to their Items, and while Yami no Bakura tries to revolt, and kill the Pharaoh's friends with its latent powers, Jounouchi's will manages to keep it under control long enough for the Pharaoh - in Anzu's hands - to counter the effect, and keep his friends safe while they locked the Ring away in a safe in the museum. A temporary answer at best, but they needed to buy time. Taking the Puzzle to Yuugi's empty body showed the pharaoh could still control it, but his host's spirit was missing. The fear was it might be gone for good, destroyed from losing that cheated duel and being left in the game when it collapsed. But the pharaoh wouldn't buy it – not when there was a good chance his partner was still there, perhaps locked back into the Puzzle along with his memories.

He was right, though the confusion of the unraveling memories and the release of the soul section of Zorc inside the Puzzle had made the labyrinth collapse- sections of paths and stairs and doors broken apart and connected only by dangerous shadows, threatening to swallow any soul that trespassed. Yuugi now wandered this confused mess, buried too deep for the pharaoh to reach him while he looked for his own way out. Who knows how long he might have kept his own will in that darkness, but thankfully fate interceded. After only a few tries, one door proved fruitful. Though the fact it led into an unfamiliar hall, where he was suddenly very obviously a disembodied spirit? That might be a problem...

Notes: If some of that back story is confusing, it's likely because I'm going off mangaverse, where the point of the Memory World being a D&D style game is clearer, it's taking place in the Domino Museum, and Yuugi & co. were soulless bodies in caskets for most of it while wandering the Puzzle and playing as NPCs in the game. Not that any of this stops the idea from being very questionably plausible.
